Gamma-Ray Bursts – Short Description

Gamma-ray bursts, also known as gamma-ray jets (GRBs), are transient events with gamma-ray emission lasting from a few fractions of a second to thousands of seconds. These gamma-ray emissions occur due to a relativistic matter jet (accelerating at speeds close to the speed of light).
